Meet Diego & Carolina
We’re the team behind Diegodalo, a creative art studio based in Adelaide. Diego is the artist and muralist, and Carolina is our designer. Together we create bold, colourful pop art murals, hand-painted signwriting, school mural workshops and custom canvases for schools, businesses and homes across South Australia.
With a background in advertising, Diego understands that a great mural isn’t just beautiful, it also has to tell your story and connect with the people who see it. What drives us is an obsessive love for turning blank walls into captivating works of art, and for the people and stories behind every space.
OUR STORY
From Bogotá to Adelaide
2009 · Bogotá, Colombia
Where it all began
After studying advertising and working in the advertising industry, Diego fell in love with pop art, inspired by Roy Lichtenstein and Andy Warhol, and started painting personalised pop art portraits on canvas. His first clients were friends from advertising agencies who believed in what was then just a hobby, and we’re still grateful to them.
2013 · Colombia
A creative duo
Carolina joins as our designer, and together we take on artistic projects across Colombia.
2017 · Sydney, Australia
A new canvas
We move to Australia. Diego works as a painter for Pier One Sydney Harbour and another Australian company, painting beautiful homes around Sydney and looking after the hotel’s rooms and general painting.
2019 · Pier One Sydney Harbour
The first wall
Diego paints his first mural, an internal artwork for the hotel’s staff. Until then he had only painted canvases, and stepping onto a wall pushed him out of his comfort zone. It changed everything.
Today · Adelaide
