THE BRIEF
A Mural Made by the Whole School
St Francis of Assisi School wanted more than a painted wall. They wanted a mural that every student could proudly say they helped create, one that reflects the school’s values, its community and its long history.
So instead of starting with our own design, we started with theirs. Students drew their ideas of what makes their school special: animals, nature, friendship and their patron saint, St Francis.
We then brought those drawings together into one story, framed by the school’s motto: “Empowered by Hope, Inspired by Curiosity”.

THE PROCESS
From Student Drawings to a School Mural
Our school mural workshops are hands-on from start to finish. Here’s how 250+ kids turned a blank wall into their mural.

1. Student ideas
Students from every year level drew their ideas. We combined their drawings into one digital design that the school approved before any paint was opened.

2. Mapping the wall
Carolina painted the background and sketched the design onto the wall, so every student knew exactly where to paint.

3. Students paint
Over three days, class by class, more than 250 students picked up a brush and painted their part of the mural.

4. Final details
We finished with the outlines, faces, lettering and fine details that tie every student’s work together.

Creating a Mural With 250+ Kids
Step behind the scenes of three inspiring days at St Francis of Assisi School, from the first sketches to the final brushstrokes.
Every child played a part in bringing this artwork to life. It was all about connection, imagination and the joy of creating something meaningful together.
EVERYONE LEFT THEIR MARK
Little Hands, Big Hands, One Mural
It wasn’t just the little ones. Older students and even teachers picked up a brush and added their part to the story.

THE RESULT
The Finished School Mural
A colourful story of hope, curiosity and community, painted by the students who live it every day.

BEYOND THE WALL
Take Your Mural Beyond the Wall
Once your mural is designed, the artwork doesn’t have to stay on the wall. We can turn it into custom merchandise such as mugs, t-shirts, banners, stickers and signage.
It’s a great way to celebrate a school milestone, raise funds at school events or give staff and families a keepsake of the project.
For St Francis of Assisi School, we printed the mural design on custom mugs as a thank-you gift for the school leadership team.
