THE BRIEF
A New Face for Burton TV
Burton TV is the school’s own audiovisual space, where students film, record and present. The outside wall of the TV Room faces the main courtyard, but it was just plain, two-tone brick.
The design came from the school itself. Nicolia Arharidis, the school’s audiovisual coordinator, created the concept: the Burton TV logo in a speech bubble, surrounded by a camera, a microphone, headphones and a play button.
We helped bring it to the wall. We fine-tuned the colours for outdoor brick and gave the design a curved, circular finish on the edges, so the mural flows around the wall instead of stopping in a hard straight line.

THE DESIGN
From Concept to Colour Plan
Before any paint was opened, we turned the concept into a scaled mock-up of the real wall, including the window and door, so the school could see exactly how the mural would sit in the space.
We also matched every colour to a real paint code. When the job was done, the school received a colour reference sheet listing each Dulux and British Paints colour, so any future touch-ups are easy.
THE PROCESS
Four Days, One Brick Wall
Painting on brick is all about preparation. Here’s how the Burton TV mural came together.

1. Primer & sketch
First, Diego cleaned the brick and rolled on a full coat of primer. Then Carolina drew the whole design onto the white wall by hand, so every shape was ready to paint.

2. Colour & layout
Following Carolina’s drawing, we painted the flowing bands of yellow, blue, orange and purple, then traced the Burton TV logo.

3. The logo
The speech bubble and Burton TV lettering were painted by hand, with crisp black outlines that read clearly across the courtyard.

4. Line details
Finally, the white line drawings of the camera, microphone, headphones and play button tied the whole wall together.
THE BEST PART
“Good Job!”
For four days, the kids came over at every break to see what was new. They cheered us on, asked questions and told us “good job!” again and again.
Our favourite moment? They were amazed when we painted the wall white, which wasn’t even 10% of the project! Coming from kids, that kind of encouragement is completely natural and honest, and it made this one of our most rewarding projects.

THE RESULT
A Colourful Home for Burton TV
A vibrant new feel for the courtyard, and a wall that tells everyone exactly what happens inside.

FROM THE SCHOOL
“Working with Diego was a fantastic experience. He brought our media mural to life with creativity, precision, and exceptional attention to detail. Communication was clear and professional throughout the entire process. We are thrilled with the result and cannot wait to have him back again very soon.”
